Catherine Anne

 Catherine Anne O'Hara, OC was born on March 4, 1954. She is a Canadian-American comedian actor, writer, and actress. O'Hara has been the recipient of several distinctions that include an award called a Genie Award, a Golden Globe Award, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards, and six Canadian Screen Awards. She was made as an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2018 and was honoured with the Governor General's Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement Award in 2020. O'Hara began her career as an actor in 1974 when she was in The Second City, an Improv comedy group in Toronto. Together with John Candy, O'Hara was part of the main cast of the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). O'Hara, Candy, and Dan Aykroyd began work in Second City Television's sketch comedy show (1976-1984). O'Hara received critical acclaim for her comedic acting and writing abilities which earned her an Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writer for a Variety Series in 1982. O'Hara, Steve Carell and Dwayne Colbert were included on the Second City artistic board in 2022.
