Sarah Hayley Orrantia
Sarah Hayley Orrantia (born February 21 in 1994) is an American actress, singer and songwriter. Her most well-known character is that of Erica Goldberg in the ABC comedy show The Goldbergs. She was part of Lakoda Rayne (a country-pop girl group created by Paula Abdul in the first season of The X Factor). In 2015, her debut single "Love Sick" was released. Her debut EP, The Way Out, debuted in May 2015. Orrantia began singing at the age of nine , and started professional training at age 12. Her first song was written at 13 years old. When she was 13, she recorded her first cover track. She also began writing songs with Jamie Houston, a songwriter who is best known for composing hits for the Disney High School Musical movies. Orrantia auditioned in the summer of 2011 for the opportunity to be part of the first season on The X Factor. Orrantia won the audition from YouTube and was given four "yes" votes by the judges in the live auditions in Seattle. The audition was initially one-woman show but at Hollywood Week, she was joined by three other female vocalists who formed an ensemble. They were eliminated in the fifth week of live shows.
